About Dan

Since 2020, The Alewife Brook Company has helped small businesses with a variety of services aimed at assisting owners and managers with reducing headaches, realizing growth opportunities, or finding a great succession plan. So many small businesses are plagued by ongoing issues that stifle growth and wear down employees and management. TABC’s goal is to be an extra set of hands whether it’s finding and retaining top talent, tackling that project that always seems to get back burnered, or simply managing through crises.

Dan Kohanna is the Founder and Principal of The Alewife Brook Company where he leads all three of the organization’s major functions: Acquisitions, Consulting, and Admin Support. Dan is a former small business COO and CEO and loves rolling up his sleeves in any capacity, from reviewing the books to sorting out operational issues. Dan has seen first-hand how taxing running a small business can be. Dan founded TABC to be a resource to small business owners, helping them eliminate issues and get back to the fun stuff.
